Death panels: a cruel twist of your fate

With all the flying misinformation on healthcare legislation requiring “death panels” to determine when to pull the plug on grandma, we might forget that insurance companies routinely restrict care for “pre-existing conditions” and convene panels to decide which treatment your doctor can prescribe. The reality is that the legislative reform was simply for doctors to provide information on end of life options, but that provision was removed because some politicians would rather the insurance industry make decisions about your life.
